Daily Nutrition Check: A Human-Centered Wellness Tool

As part of our ongoing exploration of human-centered digital experiences, we created this Daily Nutrition Check tool to experiment with a softer and more approachable way of tracking nutrition awareness.

Instead of focusing on strict calorie counting or complex diet systems, this concept focuses on something simpler: Did today’s meals include enough variety to support the body well?

This tool does not calculate exact nutrient intake or daily recommended amounts. Instead, it helps users check whether their meals include a variety of foods that support key nutrition areas such as protein, fiber, calcium, iron, omega-3, Vitamin D, and greens.

This project was designed as a lightweight wellness-focused web experience, combining:

  • nutrition awareness
  • interaction design
  • behavioural thinking
  • clean UI systems
  • local browser-based tracking
  • calm and approachable UX

The intention was not to replace professional medical or nutritional advice, but to explore how thoughtful interface design can encourage healthier daily habits without creating pressure or guilt.

Features include:

  • Daily meal logging
  • Nutrition support mapping
  • Food variety scoring
  • Smart nutrition insights
  • Local storage tracking by date
  • Responsive wellness-inspired UI

This prototype is part of our broader interest in designing tools that support everyday wellbeing through technology, design, and behavioural understanding.
